Con la participación del primer Alcalde dominicano en el Estado de Massachusetts William Lantigua, el cónsul dominicano en Boston Dominico Cabral y la participación de una gran delegación de dominicanos residentes en la región; hoy 27 de febrero en Lawrence se izo la bandera dominicana frente al Palacio Municipal de esta ciudad.

We did it! We made history, together with everyone’s hard work and dedication the citizens of the Great City of Lawrence elected the first Latino Mayor in the history of Massachusetts and only the second elected Dominican Mayor in the history of the United States. Mayor- Elect William Lantigua and members of his staff would like to thank everyone for their faith, trust, and loyalty to this campaign and the individuals running it, thank you!
We traveled a long road together and now we have arrived at our destination. The journey was hard but now we can reflect on the beautiful friendships we formed and accomplishments that we achieved.
I wish you all happiness and all the best. Thank you again for your support and love; may God Bless you and your family in all your future endeavors.
